TRINIDAD: Officers on rape, abduction charges released on bail

Two police officers accused of abduction, rape, and buggery of a woman were each released on TT$250,000 bail when they appeared in a Central Trinidad Court yesterday.
Police constables Steven Worrel and Marvin Mitchell were alleged to have committed the crimes on March 30 in Central Trinidad.
The officers were not called upon to enter a plea.
The case has been adjourned to May 23.
