Prime Minister of St Vincent, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, says he will await a written report from the Commissioner of Police, Keith Miller, before commenting on an incident in which police shot and killed a prisoner inside the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
The prisoner, Anthony 'Scarface' Hamilton, who was recently released from prison after spending 17 years for rape, was in court to answer a robbery charge.
Unconfirmed reports said he tried to escape and was shot in the vicinity of the washroom of the court, located on the ground floor.
