J'can sentenced to 12 months in Barbados prison
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):
Natallian Shevanese Graham has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for drug trafficking.
The police arrested and charged Graham with several drug offences, including possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
She arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport from Jamaica on May 11 and was interviewed by police after clearing Immigration.
The police report states that she was referred to a medical facility, where she passed out two packets containing cannabis, which she ingested.
The drug weighed 175 grams.
She appeared in a Bridgetown Magistrates Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to the charges.
Graham was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
