Tennis director honoured

National Director of Tennis, Douglas Burke was honoured by his alma mater Southern Illinois University recently.
Burke was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in a ceremony held at Morris University Centre in the USA.
During his tennis career at Southern Illinois University he was a five-time All-American, the highest collegiate tennis achievement.
He won All-American singles honours from 1981 to 1983 and earned All-American doubles honours in 1982 and 1983.
Burke has captained Jamaica’s Davis Cup team for almost two decades.
