WI women score big in warm up match

Jamaican Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin of Barbados hit centuries yesterday as West Indies women began their Sri Lanka tour with a 112-run victory against a Sri Lanka Eleven side in a warm-up match in Colombo.



Taylor scored 100 and Dottin got 103 to lead West Indies to 273 for one off 50 overs.



Both Taylor and Dottin retired.



Sri Lanka replied with 161 for seven off their allotted 50 overs against the bowling of Afy Fletcher two for 13.



The Caribbean team is preparing for its five-match One Day International series against Sri Lanka.



The opening One Day International will take place tomorrow at Rangiri Dambulla Stadium followed by the second game on Friday and the third on Sunday.



The remaining two games will take place on November 11 and 12.
