Wolmer’s defeat Norman Manley

Wolmer’s got their second round campaign off to a perfect start with a 2-1 victory over Norman Manley as the ISSA/Digicel/Pepsi Corporate Area Manning Cup football competition continued yesterday.



The game was the first match of a Group One double header at the Constant Spring field.



In the second game, Bridgeport High and Kingston College battled to a 1-1 draw.



Christopher Waugh, 44th minute, and Ashani Fairclough, 54th minute were the scorers for Wolmer’s.



Norman Manley pulled a goal back through Patrick Scott who scored a 59th minute penalty.



The second round continues this afternoon with Group Three teams in action at the Constant Spring field.



The games are Tivoli against Calabar at 1 p.m. and St Andrew Technical High playing Excelsior at 3 p.m.
