Statins Win in Manning Cup Action

St Andrew Technical High School, STATHS, scored a 2-1 victory over Tivoli Gardens in their second round match of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel corporate area Manning Cup football competition earlier this afternoon at the Constant Spring field.
As a result of the victory, STATHS have moved atop Group 2 standings on four points to stay on course for a semi-final spot.
In the second game at the venues, the highly anticipated match between the other Group 2 schools --- Excelsior and Calabar ended in a 2-all draw.
The two schools are locked on two points each, two behind STATHS.
Tivoli are at the bottom of the table on one point.
The competition continues tomorrow afternoon with a Group 3 double-header at Constant Spring field.
Waterford will face St Georges in the first match at 1 o’clock, while Jamaica College will take on Eltham at 3 o’clock.
