Harbour View beat Waterhouse
Harbour View registered a resounding 3-0 victory over hosts Waterhouse on a wet pitch at the Drewsland Mini Stadium in their 10th round Digicel Premier League game yesterday.
Marcelino Blackburn, Kavin Bryan and Rafeik Thomas scored for Harbour View, which stayed atop the 12-team standings with 23 points.
With one round remaining, the victory also placed the Stars of the East in the end-of-first-round final that will be played between the two leading teams.
In a late game last night at Ferdi Neita Park, defending champions Portmore United beat visitors Boys’ Town 1-0 to keep their slim hopes alive.
Portmore United have now moved to 16 points with St George United, which edged Reno 2-1 at Lynch Park.
Both teams are two points behind Boys Town and Tivoli, which are joint second on 18 points.
Tivoli earned three crucial points after blanking Sporting Central 3-0 at Brancourt in Clarendon.
In other games, Meadhaven outscored Rivoli 4-3 at Constant Spring field and Arnett Gardens and Village United played to a 1-1 tie at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
