The Bahamas government says it will hold talks with Cuba on the illegal migration of nationals from that country.
Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Fred Mitchell says a team will be travelling to meet with Cuban authorities later this week.
He says he expects that a new agreement will be in place
shortly.
Mr Mitchell says he will also meet the Cuban Foreign Minister in Grenada in early September to discuss the matters directly.
