Antigua tightens border control

Antigua and Barbuda said it would be strengthening the country’s border control security measures.



The government said it would also be intensifying measures to monitor the movement of criminals sent back to the country.



Governor General Dame Louise Lake-Tack said legislation addressing the issue of deportees entering the state and the mandatory deportation of non-citizens convicted of serious crimes, will be tabled in parliament in the New Year.
