A call has been made for the Government of Grenada to appoint a parliamentary committee to review the country’s drug law especially as it pertains to the possession and use of marijuana.
Well-known local criminal lawyer Anslem Clouden believes the current legislation is draconian.
Clouden has been advocating for the decriminalisation of marijuana for recreational use.
He says a modification of the law will drastically reduce the prison population and at the same time provide opportunities for economic development.
