Ramnaresh Sarwan played himself into form with a century as West Indies drew their three-day Test warm-up game against Auckland Aces in New Zealand yesterday.
Sarwan struck two sixes and 23 fours before retiring on 158 as West Indies totaled 431 for seven on the final day replying to Auckland Aces 587 for seven declared.
West Indies resumed yesterday on 82 without loss.
Sarwan shared a stand of 116 with opener Sewnarine Chattergoon, who secured his Test place by making 93.
Xavier Marshall got 47 and Denesh Ramdin was undefeated on 37.
Fidel Edwards was West Indies top bowler with three for 125.
West Indies will now turn their attentions to the first Test, which starts in Dunedin on Thursday.
Daren Powell and Jerome Taylor will go into the game without having seen any competitive action since the end of a one-day series against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi in mid-November.
