Reggae Boyz/Guadeloupe face off

The finalists of the 2008 Digicel Caribbean Football Championship will be decided tonight following the playing of the two semi-final games at the National Stadium.

Semi-final one will feature Cuba against Grenada at 5 p.m., followed by hosts Jamaica playing Guadeloupe in the feature encounter at 7 p.m.

Jamaica, with two wins and a draw, topped Group ‘A’ and remain the only unbeaten team among the final four.

The Reggae Boyz will be looking for their fourth Caribbean Championship title. But there are injury concerns over two of the most potent attackers Luton Shelton and Demar Phillips.

They won previously in 1991, 1998 and 2005 and are well positioned for title number four, based on their current form.

The final is scheduled for Sunday at the National Stadium with the winners collecting US$120,000.

All four teams have earned the right to contest the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States in June.
