Selassie/Braves win NBA League

Selassie Gardens and Braves Chief recorded victories as the National Basketball League qualifying games for the 2009 season continued over the weekend.



Selassie Gardens of Southern Conference defeated Morant Bay All Stars of Eastern Conference 65 to 42 at the Stadium Court.



Richardo Willis led the way for Selassie Gardens with a game high 21 points. Kamar Cohen supported with 17 points.



Jeffrey Ivy scored 20 points for Morant Bay All Stars.



Over at the Edgewater Court, Brave Chiefs of Southern Conference defeated Jaguars of Western Conference 79 to 63.



For Brave Chief, Brian Grant scored a game high 26 points and Bevroy Grey 18 points.



Leroy Lawrence had 24 points for Jaguars.



The top two teams at the end of the qualifying series will replace demoted teams Link Up All Stars and Catherine Hall Stars in the 2009 season of the National Basketball League.
