Caribbean Championships

Hosts Jamaica have qualified four players to the second round of the singles on today’s penultimate day of the week-long Caribbean Region Table Tennis Federation Championship at the University of Technology.



In the men’s singles, Kane Watson and national champion Peter Moo Young advanced to the round of 32 after four of the nine preliminary groups have been completed.



Watson finished second in Group 2, which was won by Dexter St Louis of Trinidad and Tobago.



Moo Young advanced following a second place in Group 3 won by Anderson Carrington of Barbados.



Jamaican Michael Cai failed to advance after finishing third in the group.



Jamaican qualifiers in the women’s singles are Ashli Alexander and Shenique Clare.
