Harbour View edge Meadhaven
Leaders Harbour View last night defeated eighth place Meadhaven United 1-nil in their second round Digicel Premier League game at the Harbour View Mini Stadium to move four points clear in the points’ standings.
Marcelino Blackburn scored the only goal of the match two minutes before the end.
Following the victory, Harbour View moved to 32 points, four ahead of second place Tivoli Gardens, which battled to a goalless draw with fifth place St. Georges in an earlier game at Edward Seaga St.adium.
Boys Town remain in third place despite scoring a 3-1 victory over Reno at Collie Smith Drive.
Also scoring victory were defending champions Portmore United, which edged Village United 2-1 at Ferdie Neita Park.
In the day’s other games, Rivoli United blanked Sporting Central Academy 2-nil at Brancourt in Clarendon, while Waterhouse and Arnett Gardens played to a 1-all draw at Drewsland Mini St.adium.
