Trinidadian Trade Unions have announced plans for a major street demonstration against the government.

This will be their second demonstration against the government and leaders of the Labour Unions say this time, they will lead thousands in a march to the office of Prime Minister Persad Bissessar next Friday.

The unions say they are calling for the government to set a date for new elections and to dismiss Sports Minister Anil Roberts and Labour Minister Errol Mc Leod.

President of the Oilfield Workers Trade Union, Ancel Roget, says the government has disrespected the labour movement.
