South Africa win first ever Test series in Australia

South Africa won their first ever Test series in Australia with a nine-wicket triumph at the Melbourne Cricket Ground today, becoming the first team in 16 years to beat the Aussies on home soil.
Resuming on 30 without loss in search of 183, South Africa reached their target for the loss of just one wicket.
Skipper Graeme Smith made 75 while fellow opener Neil McKenzie finished 59 not out to give the Proteas an unassailable 2-nil lead.
South Africa can inflict a first home whitewash on Australia and move top of the world ranking by winning the final Test in Sydney, starting on Saturday.
Final Scores in the game: Australia 394 and 247; South Africa 459 and 183 for one.
