Schoolboy football begins
The 2009 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Grace Shield competitions will bowl off today with the first round of the rural area knockout competition.
30-34 games are scheduled for today across eight zone.
The feature game will be in Zone ‘D’ with Manchester High hosting Cross Keys.
In other key games today, reigning Headley Cup champions St. Elizabeth Technical will host DeCarteret College, Munro will face Black River, Cornwall at home to Green Pond and Herbert Morrison tackle William Knibb.
There will be a brief opening ceremony commencing at 11 a.m. just before the start of the games.
The Corporate Area Grace Shield begins on Thursday with eight matches across Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’
Jamaica College will host Kingston College in the feature encounter. An opening ceremony is scheduled to start at 9.30 a.m.
The Grace Shield ‘A’ League is scheduled to bowl off on Friday with eight matches.
