T&T/Barbados draw

Trinidad and Tobago drew with hosts Barbados on yesterday’s fourth and final day of their first round match in the West Indies Cricket Board regional four-day competition at the Police Sports Club.



Barbados, set 278 runs for victory, reached 197 for four in their second innings when the game was called off with Dale Richards scoring 113, his third first-class hundred.



Ryan Hinds chipped in with 43 while Dwayne Smith was undefeated on 23.



Dave Mohammad was T&T top bowler with two for 62.



Earlier, T&T declared their second innings on 212 for three after resuming on 120 for one for a lead of 277.



Adrian Barath 79 and Lendl Simmonds 74 hit half centuries.



Final scores in the game are T&T 264 and 212 for three declared, Barbados 199 and 197 for four.



T&T earned six points from their first innings lead and Barbados had to settle for three.



Jamaica and Windward Islands are locked at the top of the table on 12 points each.



T&T host Jamaica in the second round starting Friday at Queen’s Park Oval, and Barbados travel to Grenada to face Windward Islands at Progress Park.
