The Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA) and the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding, which is expected to save clubs an estimated $3.2 million in transportation costs for the remainder of the season.
Both parties signed off on the agreement at the PLCA headquarters located at the Jamaica Football Federation building in New Kingston.
Players will be transported to and from game venues on match days.
In return, the urban transit company is expected to benefit from various advertising and marketing plans surrounding the Digicel Premier League.
The contract, which came into effect on December 28 expires when the season ends on May 30.
