Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have retained the Number One spot in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) ratings in spite of a marginal decline in the FIFA Coca Cola ratings.

In the January FIFA Rankings released today, the Jamaicans dipped one place on the world list to 66th and are seven positions ahead of Trinidad and Tobago, which gained two places to be 73rd.

There is no change among the top five teams in the CFU this month, with Haiti at 100th in the world, still fourth behind Jamaica, T&T and Cuba. In fifth place is Digicel runners-up Grenada.

The USA, with a Number 22 FIFA rating, are enjoying their fourth consecutive month as CONCACAF’s top-rated side ahead of perennial top team Mexico, 26th in FIFA, followed by Honduras and Costa Rica.

The Jamaicans keep the Number 5 position in CONCACAF, with T&T sixth and Cuba seventh.

European champion Spain stayed top of the world after there was almost no movement among the leading nations.

Spain are well clear of second-place Germany, with the Netherlands, Italy and Brazil next.
