Gaza ceasefire talks

Diplomatic activity is said to be intensifying over a possible ceasefire to end Israel\'s war with Hamas in Gaza.



According to an Israeli government spokesman the conflict is now entering its final stage as talks are being held in Egypt and Washington.



United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said a deal between Israel and Hamas to stop the conflict may be possible within the next few days.



Health officials in Gaza say at least 1,105 Palestinians have been killed and 5,100 wounded since Israel launched an operation on December 27, to end rocket attacks on its territory.
