Israeli troops to withdraw

Israeli troops are still to withdraw from Gaza after agreeing to a ceasefire over the weekend.

Israeli political sources say the military had planned to withdraw before Barack Obama\'s inauguration as the new president of the United States.

Analysts say questions remain, such as who will police Gaza\'s southern border with Egypt and how much power Hamas will still have.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said he wants troops to leave Gaza as quickly as possible and some have already left.

Hamas has said it will hold fire until Sunday to give Israel time to withdraw.

The United Nations said rebuilding the Gaza Strip after Israel\'s three-week offensive will cost billions of dollars.

The UN is now conducting an assessment to determine the overall reconstruction costs.
