Tourist drowns while snorkeling in T&T
SCARBOROUGH, Tobago, Jan 18, CMC – The police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a tourist from the United States on Saturday.
The police report that Morgan Detters, 35, drowned while snorkeling in Buccoo Reef, just off Pigeon Point.
Detters, 35, of New York, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Scarborough Hospital after medical personnel found him to be unresponsive at the scene.
Detters reportedly arrived in Tobago last Wednesday with friends to attend a wedding which took place on Friday.
His death came just weeks after the drowning of former national security minister Martin Joseph at Grande Bay, Tobago.
