The governing United Progressive Party (UPP) in Antigua is accusing the opposition party of importing a printing press machine to produce bogus voter ID cards ahead of upcoming elections.
Antigua Labour Party Chairman Gaston Browne is rejecting the allegations.
Mr. Browne is in turn accusing the government of creating hysteria for election campaign purposes.
He said the party had even applied to the Prime Minister’s office for duty-free concession to import the machine to print membership cards.
