Sri Lanka level series against Pakistan

Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 129 runs in the second limited-overs international at Karachi in Pakistan today and leveled the three-match series 1-all.



Tillakaratne Dilshan hit 76 and Thilina Kandamby scored 59 to lead Sri Lanka to 290 for eight off their 50 overs.



Umar Gul took most wickets for Pakistan with four for 58, while Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir and Rao Iftikhar picked up a wicket each.



Needing 291 for victory, Pakistan were dismissed for 161 with 15 point 1 overs to spare off the bowling of Muttiah Muralitharan three for 19 and Ajantha Mendis three for 29.



Salman Butt top scored for Pakistan with 62, while Shoaib Malik chipped in with 54.



The final match of the series will be played at Lahore on Saturday.
