Chatterooon calls to ‘A’ team
Discarded test opening batsman Sewnarine Chattergoon was called up to the West Indies ‘A’ team today to face England in the three-day warm-up match in St Kitts.
The Guyanese batsman takes the place of fellow left-hander Darren Bravo of Trinidad and Tobago. Bravo dislocated the middle finger on his right hand while fielding against the Windward Islands.
The 19 year old brother of injured West Indies all rounder Dwayne Bravo will be out for three weeks.
Fast bowler Kemar Roach has also been forced to withdraw for the match that starts Thursday after picking up an injury in Barbados’ weekend victory over the Leeward Islands. No replacement has been named.
All-rounder Darren Sammy, one of five players in the team with international experience, was selected as captain.
