Reigning champions Jamaica, replying to Barbados first innings total of 293, were 31 without loss at the end of today’s opening day of their top-of-the-table fourth round regional four-day cricket match at Kensington Oval in Kingston.
Brenton Parchment is undefeated on 18 and Danza Hyatt 12.
Earlier, Jonathan Carter top scored for Barbados with 49 against the bowling of Andrew Richardson three for 41, Bevon Brown two for 44 and Odean Brown two for 62.
Ryan Hinds chipped in with 47 and Rohan Nurse scored 42.
Jamaica lead the standings with 30 points, three more than the Barbadians.
Over at Grove Park in Nevis, Guyana, replying to the Leeward Islands’ first innings score of 225, reached 20 without loss at the close play.
