Williams new president for JABA

Former NBA player Ajani Williams is the new president of the 50-year-old Jamaica Amateur Basketball Association (JABA).



Williams defeated former deputy president of JABA, captain Clifton Lumsden at the Annual General Meeting held at Alhambra Inn yesterday.



His team includes Paulton Gordon, Richard Polack and Pete Matthews as Deputy President.



Other members of the team are Winston Harvey, Honorary Secretary; Carol Black, Assistant Secretary; Reuben Brown, Honorary Treasurer and Kevin Alexander, Assistant Treasurer.



Five Committee Members were selected. They are Oberon Pitterson, Pat Gillings, Roger Goldson, Luke Ducille Irons and Wayne Stewart.



The new body will serve for a period of two years.
