Jamaicans preparing for Junior Champs

The Jamaica Table Tennis Association has invited 24 players to begin preparations for the Junior Caribbean Championships, which will take place in St Kitts from April 12 to 18.



The Championships are confined to Under 15 and Under 18 boys and girls.



National champion Yvonne Foster will lead the Girls’ Under-18 section.



The remaining players are Petrina Bogle, Kristen McKenzie of Campion College, Shaunda Brash of Holy Childhood, Tracy-Ann Dattadeen of St Mary High and Ardenne High’s Ashli Alexander.



The Boys’ Under-18 squad comprises of Kareem Flowers and Michael Cai of Wolmers, Simon Tomlinson of Ardenne High, Don-Walker Petinaud of Calabar, Shayne Frost of St Mary and Jermaine James of Kingston College.



The Under 15 squads also include six players each.



Newly appointed coach, Winston Cowans will be in charge of the Under 18 boys’ and girls’. Sean Williams will assist him.



Sandra Riettie will train the Under 15 players.
