Taylor, Edwards sold at the IPL auction

West Indies cricketers Jerome Taylor, Fidel Edwards and Dwayne Smith were sold today at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.



Fast bowlers Taylor and Edwards were each sold for US$150,000, Edwards to the Deccan Chargers and Taylor to Kings Eleven Punjab.



Barbadian all-rounder Smith, currently not in the West Indies set-up, joins Edwards at Deccan Chargers at US$100,000.



West Indies batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan was among those unsold.



England’s Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff fetched the highest prices at the auction, each bought for US$1.55million.



The 2009 season will be held from April 10 to May 29.
