US President Barack Obama is today set to sign into law the 787 billion dollar economic stimulus package.

The economic legislation is to be signed in Denver.

The rescue plan is designed to create millions of jobs, spur consumer spending and revive the nation\'s outlook.

It will pump money into infrastructure projects, health care, renewable energy development and conservation, with twin goals of short-term job production and longer-term economic viability.

The package will also provide help to poor people and laid-off workers, with increased unemployment benefits and food stamps, and subsidies for health insurance.

The White House said it is not ruling out another economic stimulus plan but said one is not in the works.

Spokesman Robert Gibbs said President Barack Obama would do what he thinks is needed to get the economy moving.
