Guyanese police are to undergo lie detector tests, as part of a major crack-down on corrupt members of the force.

Four corporals were charged with bribery last week.

Two years ago, a number of agents of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit were sent home after failing similar tests.

President Bharrat Jagdeo said staff and other agencies would also be targeted.
