Eastern Champs round up

Defending champions Oberlin High School have grabbed the early lead on today’s first day of the two-day Eastern Secondary Schools’ Sports Association Athletics Championships at the Stadium East.
At Sports Time, Oberlin have a combined total of 84 points, 13 ahead of Glengoffe on 71.
Oberlin lead the girls’ section with 58 points after six finals. Glengoffe are second on 43. Morant Bay 26, Buff Bay 21 and Yallah 15 complete the top five.
In the boys’ section, Glengoffe are ahead after four finals. Oberlin are next on 26, followed by Morant Bay on 21, Titchfield on 18 and St Mary Technical on three.
Tomorrow’s final day of the competition will take place at the National Stadium.
