Pops Mensah-Bonsu released

Pops Mensah-Bonsu has been released by San Antonio Spurs eight days into his 10-day contract with the NBA team.
The GB forward played three games, averaging five points and 3.3 rebounds in the little playing time he got.
His space in the Spurs\' playing roster may be filled by veteran free agent, Drew Gooden, who recently left the Sacramento Kings after a single game.
Mensah-Bonsu\'s first spell in the NBA was a three-month stint in 2006 with the Dallas Mavericks.
