Antiguans and Barbudans head to the polls today to vote for a new Government.
The incumbent United Progressive Party led by Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer will be seeking to retain power.
But analysts say the Lester Bird led Antigua Labour Party could put up an intense contest.
The head of the Organisation of American States election observer mission, Dame Billie Miller, says she is satisfied with arrangements for the election.
Police Commissioner Thomas Bennett says the necessary security preparations are in place.
