The Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) has banned the Maverley/Hughenden football field from hosting matches with immediate effect.
The ban was placed on the field following yesterday’s death of Stephen Manning of Red Hills Fooball Club.
Mannings was electrocuted at the premises following the Claro/St. Andrew Under 20 League game between Red Hills and Maverley/Hughenden yesterday.
A release from KSAFA said the relevant authorities are carrying out investigations at the premises to determine whether it is safe to stage matches.
The release further said KSAFA is saddened by the tragic accident.
