Boys’, Girls’ Champs continues
Four Girls’ finals and three Boys’ finals are scheduled for today’s second day of the ISSA/Grace Kennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships at the National Stadium.
The Girls’ Class Three High Jump final is now taking place. The remaining Girls’ finals are the Class Four Long Jump at 1.45 p.m., Shot Put Open at 4.05 p.m. and Class Two Long Jump at
5 p.m.
The Pole Vault Open at 1 p.m. is the first Boys’ final, followed by the Class One Discus and the Class Three High Jump, both at 5 p.m.
St Hugh’s High and Wolmer’s Boys are the early leaders.
The Cross Roads-based St Hugh’s took silver and bronze in the girls’ discus Class One on yesterday opening day to lead with 19 points, one ahead of St Jago High after three finals.
Defending champions Holmwood Technical are in third on 16, followed by Edwin Allen High on 13 and St Elizabeth Technical High School, Manchester High and Wolmer’s Girls on nine points each.
After just one boys’ final, the long jump Class One, Wolmer’s had 15 points, three ahead of Kingston College on 12.
