Stanford saga hits more workers in Antigua

The saga surrounding Texan investor Sir Allen Stanford has led to 77 more job losses in Antigua.

Government-appointed receivers in that country say they have been forced to lay-off the employees, who worked at the Stanford International Bank because there is no money to pay them.

The employees reported to work yesterday but were issued letters indicating that they could be off the job for several months, up to years.

Sir Allen has had his assets frozen in the US where he has been charged with fraud.
