International donors have agreed to an aid package of US$324M for Haiti.

The money will be used to help the country recover from last year\'s hurricanes and food shortages.

The pledges came from more than 30 countries and international organisations meeting in Washington to address the problems of the poorest nation in the Americas.

Prime Minister Michele Pierre-Louis appealed for $900M over two years for education, health and other services in a country with 77 percent unemployment.
