Milton Richards Memorial starts Saturday

The Captain Milton Richards Memorial Hockey Tournament, over two days, will begin on Saturday morning with 12 teams competing for championship honours.



The tournament will take place at the Mona Hockey turf.



Defending men’s champions Jamaica Defence Force and Explorers will face off in the opening encounter at 10 o’clock, while Munro College Old Boys Hockey Club will play last year’s runners-up Raider’s United.



Reigning women’s champions Tropics will start against St Andrew Strikers at 10:40 and St Andrew will tackle Sharpe’s Rebel in another women’s encounter.



Mixed Veterans champion, Gray Dog from Florida will begin their title defence against the Milton’s Invitational team at 12:40 p.m.



The competition will be played in three divisions – Men, Women and Mixed Veterans.



All games will be Six-A-Side and will be played on half the regular field.
