STETHS wins Headley Cup

St. Elizabeth Technical High School, STETHS, claimed a third straight hold on the rural area ISSA/Grace Headley Cup title after the three-day final against Port Antonio High ended in a draw a short while ago.



The game was played at Chedwin Park in St Catherine.



STETHS won by virtue of taking first innings points.



When the game was called off, Port Antonio batting a second time reached 98 for four after being set a victory target of 464.



Earlier, STETHS resuming on 180 for five were bowled out for 299, a lead of 463. They achieved a first innings lead of 166.



Paul Palmer was the top batsman for STETHS with an undefeated 108.



Final scores in the game were Port Antonio 116 and 98 for four; STETHS 280 and 299.



STETHS have claimed the double after defeating Manchester High to lift the Knockout title earlier in the season.
