The Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Gordon Wetherell, says the final report of a Commission of Inquiry into allegations of corruption will be made public at the end of May.
The full report was due to be released on April 30.
But Governor Wetherell says he has been informed by Commissioner Sir Robin Auld that he will be unable to meet that deadline.
The probe has reportedly found a high probability of systemic corruption in the cabinet of former Premier Michael Misick.
Misick resigned last month.
He’s alleged to have built a multi-million dollar fortune since he was elected in 2003.
