Leaders Greenwich Town defeated hosts Shortwood United one-nil yesterday in their top-of-the-table Kingston and St Andrew Football Association/Claro Syd Bartlett League.



As a result of the victory, Greenwich Town have moved to 29 points, eight clear of second place Shortwood United.



In other games, fourth place University of the West Indies beat eight place New Kingston three-one, tenth place Pembroke Hall edged fifth place Stony Hill two-one, while the game between hosts Whitfield Town and Maxfield Park United was not played because of a waterlogged field.
