French navy captures pirates

The French Navy has captured 11 pirates who tried to take over its vessel off the east of Mombasa, Kenya, yesterday.
Captain Christophe Prazuck says while travelling members of the navy saw two pirate assault boats approaching their vessel.
He says a French helicopter interceded before the attackers had time to open fire at them.
In the past three weeks, the French Navy has intercepted 24 suspected pirates as part of a European Union anti-piracy operation off the coast of Somalia.
