Digicel Kickstart Clinic began yesterday
The Caribbean leg of the second staging of the regional Digicel Kick Start Clinic got off yesterday at Barbican playfield.
Twenty-one Under-16 players have been invited to receive coaching from former England and Liverpool international and national head coach John Barnes.
The coaching panel also includes national assistant coach, Theodore Whitmore and former Reggae Boy, Chris Dawes.
The Jamaican leg continues this morning at 9 a.m. at Waterhouse and ends tomorrow.
The Digicel Kick Start Clinics will take place in five other countries across the Caribbean.
The other Caribbean countries that will host Clinics are Barbados, Suriname, Haiti, Trinidad and St Kitts.
The Digicel Clinic will then move on to Central America where clinics will take place in Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and El Salvador throughout August.
At the end of the Clinics the eight best Under 16 players from across the Caribbean region will be given the chance to train for a week with English club Sunderland in September.
The four best Central American Under 16 players will train with Liverpool in October for a week.
