Melbourne suffer another defeat

Melbourne Cricket Club of Jamaica suffered their second consecutive defeat in the West Indies Players’ Association Twenty/Twenty cricket series in Trinidad yesterday going down by 28 runs to Dominica.



The game was played at Guaracara Park.



Batting first, Dominica compiled 145 for six off their 20 overs and then restricted Melbourne to 117 in 18 point 5 overs with Andre McCarthy top scoring with 40 and Donovan Pagon 27.



The hard hitting Tyrone Theophile got the top-score of 40 for Dominica. He was supported by Martin Matthew, who posted a quickfire 36 and Vincent Casimir, who got 24.



Bowling for Melbourne, Damian Jacobs was the pick of the attack taking two for 28, while Yannick Elliott was also in fine form taking two for 30.
