Lions, Tigers join St Catherine Saints in point standing

Manchester Lions and Kingston Tigers have joined defending champions St Catherine Saints atop the points’ table following yesterday’s fourth round of matches in the Jamaica Super League.



Kingston Tigers recorded the only outright victory beating Hanover Dolphins by an innings and 12 runs at Sabina Park.



Hanover Dolphins, replying to Kingston Tigers’ first innings total of 304, were bowled out for 177 after resuming yesterday’s final day on 60 for two.



Kingston Tigers enforced the follow-on and Hanover Dolphins were bowled out for 115 with Boris Hutchinson and Rawle Lewis taking three wickets apiece.



Manchester Lions won first innings points from St Catherine Saints in their drawn encounter at Chedwin Park.



St Catherine Saints, replying to Manchester Lions’ first innings total of 308 for nine declared, could only made 169. Manchester Lions enforced the follow-on and St Catherine Saints’ batting a second time were 105 for one when the game was called off.



Over at Alpart Sports Club, the match between hosts Westmoreland Wizard and St Elizabeth Warriors also ended in a draw.



St Elizabeth Warriors won first innings’ points. Scores in that game, St Elizabeth Warrior 124 and 203 for nine declared, Westmoreland Wizard 89 and 142 for six.
