The Director General of the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM) Ambassador Henry Gill has resigned.
His resignation takes effect on June 30.
According to a statement issued by the Barbados-based organization, the resignation follows the March decision taken by CARICOM leaders to incorporate the CRNM into the CARICOM Secretariat as a Specialised Department.
Mr Gill said he believes that the new dispensation for the functioning of the CRNM would best be given under new leadership.
Before assuming the post of Director General on July 4, 2008, Ambassador Gill served as the CRNM’s Senior Director for seven years.
